A Few Stray Grays

I think I can just come out and say it. Gray is the home decor color for fall. I know fall colors are generally supposed to be warm, with reds, oranges, browns, and yellows. But I have to say, that gray has that "cool-chic-winter" feel to it. And it's modern and vintage at the same time (my all-time favorite combo).

I painted my bedroom wall gray this weekend, so I wanted to post a few pictures from where I drew inspiration. These fancy photos make me want to spend more money on new furniture, so I am going to keep this kind of posting to a minimum in the future. I would hate to suffer from design envy any longer than I already do!

Yellow is such a great accent color when pairing it with gray. It gives off that cool-but-warm-winter feeling. Another added bonus: how great does this color combo look with the different chandeliers? You can integrate them in any setting, and chances are it's going to turn out lookin good. The photos above and below are an example of a more modern look, while the photos posted earlier show how you can integrate grays in a more vintage setting.

This photo (below) is my absolute favorite picture. If I had the patience to paint my ceiling, and the cash to get my hands on some designer furniture, my house would look exactly like this. I was, however, able to steal the wall color and use it on my bedroom wall.

My bedroom (below) is not exactly a professional design job, and still needs a few touches, but the gray really added some class to it. Now if I could just get my hands on some of those crystal chandeliers..
