Okay, okay. I know I have been posting too many of these store spotlights lately, but I just had to mention this one, which is actually not even a design/furniture store. Last week I attended a launch party for a friend of a friend's new boutique, Seams, in the Marina. I was excited to see the clothes, but never expected that I would get design inspiration from a clothing boutique.
Stephanie Stokes, the owner, couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. I mean, wow. This girl knows what she's doing. The best part about it is, she did all of the decorating herself. And by decorating, I mean painting, wallpapering, thrift store shopping, distressing, sewing, you name it! I mentioned that I'd really love to make my house look more like her boutique, to which she replied, "Everyone says that!" And I can see why..

I too was at that launch party and you are so right. I've known Stephanie for almost 15 years and she is amazing! When she told me that she was going to wallpaper and pick up some things from thrift stores, I was really hoping that it wouldn't end up looking like a thrift store but then again, this is Steph, she can make a thrift store look inviting. I was so impressed when I first walked in. She has such an eye for design. She never ceases to amaze me.
